[Weiss doesn't even hesitate, moving with Crescent Rose in an instant. When she has her feet back under her and sees what they're up against, she readies Myrtenaster for a fight.]

Treat it like an Alpha Beowolf?

Yep. Should be easy enough without breaking out the big guns.

[Weiss just nods and freezes the wolf's feet to the ground with a gesture. With it immobilized, she lets the shot she'd been charging with her blaster fly at its center mass.]

[The beast roars in pain as the blast strikes it head on, toppling it. As it falls, Ruby’s quick to race in and slash at its belly cutting it up. The beast roars before unleashing a gout of flame from its mouth.]

[The fire is blocked by a glyph forming in its mouth, hopefully causing a backfire.]

Okay, the fire's unexpected, I'll give it that. It might be useful later.

[Weiss keeps a close eye on its wounds, checking if it's regenerating or not.]

Same here. Be on your guard!

[It’s healing. Slowly. It’ll be easy to overpower it. Ruby decides to use her scythe’s gun form to fire a few bullets into it, but its hand blocks it and goes to grab the scythe to toss her and it away.]

[Its hand meets blaster fire as Weiss covers for Ruby. A cord extends from her blaster to Myrtenaster's chamber, connecting to her earth Dust. She takes aim and fires at the wolf's muzzle.]

[The beast finds itself filled with dirt as Ruby’s protected from its attacks. Ruby opts instead to swing her scythe into its belly this time, forcing it to writhe in pain.]

[That's where Weiss sees an opening. She charges up her blaster while the beast is distracted with Ruby, draining about a full quarter of her earth Dust in the process. The moment she has a clear shot, she fires directly into the wound on its belly, causing stone to erupt inside it.]

[And the beast writhed in pain as the stone through it tore it apart, ultimately leading to it to die of its wounds.]

Ha ha! Score one for Team RWBY!

Or is it just RW?

I'd say a win for us is a win for the team. Plus, Team Rue? It sounds like something a group of cartoon villains obsessed with revenge would call themselves.

[Weiss starts moving again, walking back to the portal.]

Ha! It does, doesn't it? Eh, not an amazing place, but it was certainly exciting in the end. Ready for another once we get home?

I'm good for another. I didn't use much Aura in that fight, after all. I got a useful new summon for my trouble, too, so I see this dimension as an overall win.

Good! I'm glad! I was really bummed that nothing came out of that, but... I'm glad it did for you. That's all that matters.

[Once back home, Ruby dismisses the portal and sets up another set of coordinates, revealing what looks like a massive field of flowers.]

Oh... oh, dear, that seems... really boring. Peaceful, but boring.

Appearances can be deceiving. I say we check it out. If it turns out to be a completely normal field, at least we found a nice place for a picnic.

That's true. Let's go...!

[And making sure she doesn't step somewhere she shouldn't, Ruby looks around before hopping down, landing in the field. It's quiet, peaceful and there's a load of smells here. Sweet smells...]

Nothing of note so far, but we only just got here. Do you think there might be anything further out?

[That is a nice smell. It's doing a good job of putting Weiss in a good mood.]

Mm, let's head on further.

[She points towards a nearby hill.]

If there's anything over the hill, we'll check it out. If not, it's a great relaxing spot!

[Weiss reaches over to take Ruby's hand as they walk to the hill.]

[Ruby smiles as she takes Weiss' hand and leads the way. The scents are calming and relaxing. They're also causing them to grow affectionate as Ruby leans into Weiss.]

[Weiss returns the favor, leaning back against Ruby as they go up the hill.]

I never really saw flowers much in Atlas. It was too cold for much of anything to grow outside of greenhouses. Having lived in a place like Patch, they must be a normal sight for you.

Mmm, they were. They were really pretty, too. Nothing like this, though...

What, you don't think they're pretty?

[Weiss said, knowing full well that's not what Ruby meant.

[Ruby laughs at that]

Oh, I think they're very pretty. Maybe we should get a closer look.

[And there's a giggle as she gets in front of Weiss to lean back and rest on the hill, grabbing her to pull her with her.]

[Weiss could stop herself from going down with Ruby, but she's not going to. She lands next to Ruby with a laugh, staring up at the sky.]
