[That's where Weiss sees an opening. She charges up her blaster while the beast is distracted with Ruby, draining about a full quarter of her earth Dust in the process. The moment she has a clear shot, she fires directly into the wound on its belly, causing stone to erupt inside it.]

[And the beast writhed in pain as the stone through it tore it apart, ultimately leading to it to die of its wounds.]

Ha ha! Score one for Team RWBY!

Or is it just RW?

I'd say a win for us is a win for the team. Plus, Team Rue? It sounds like something a group of cartoon villains obsessed with revenge would call themselves.

[Weiss starts moving again, walking back to the portal.]

Ha! It does, doesn't it? Eh, not an amazing place, but it was certainly exciting in the end. Ready for another once we get home?

I'm good for another. I didn't use much Aura in that fight, after all. I got a useful new summon for my trouble, too, so I see this dimension as an overall win.

Good! I'm glad! I was really bummed that nothing came out of that, but... I'm glad it did for you. That's all that matters.

[Once back home, Ruby dismisses the portal and sets up another set of coordinates, revealing what looks like a massive field of flowers.]

Oh... oh, dear, that seems... really boring. Peaceful, but boring.

Appearances can be deceiving. I say we check it out. If it turns out to be a completely normal field, at least we found a nice place for a picnic.

That's true. Let's go...!

[And making sure she doesn't step somewhere she shouldn't, Ruby looks around before hopping down, landing in the field. It's quiet, peaceful and there's a load of smells here. Sweet smells...]

Nothing of note so far, but we only just got here. Do you think there might be anything further out?

[That is a nice smell. It's doing a good job of putting Weiss in a good mood.]

Mm, let's head on further.

[She points towards a nearby hill.]

If there's anything over the hill, we'll check it out. If not, it's a great relaxing spot!

[Weiss reaches over to take Ruby's hand as they walk to the hill.]

[Ruby smiles as she takes Weiss' hand and leads the way. The scents are calming and relaxing. They're also causing them to grow affectionate as Ruby leans into Weiss.]

[Weiss returns the favor, leaning back against Ruby as they go up the hill.]

I never really saw flowers much in Atlas. It was too cold for much of anything to grow outside of greenhouses. Having lived in a place like Patch, they must be a normal sight for you.

Mmm, they were. They were really pretty, too. Nothing like this, though...

[Weiss said, knowing full well that's not what Ruby meant.

[Ruby laughs at that]

Oh, I think they're very pretty. Maybe we should get a closer look.

[And there's a giggle as she gets in front of Weiss to lean back and rest on the hill, grabbing her to pull her with her.]

[Weiss could stop herself from going down with Ruby, but she's not going to. She lands next to Ruby with a laugh, staring up at the sky.]

I think I like this one.

So do I. It's wonderful. A little place away from everyone all to ourselves.

[She can't help but look over at Weiss and smile at her.]

[Weiss rolls over to face Ruby, a smile on her face as well.]

That sounds great.

[She leans in closer to give Ruby a kiss.]

[There's a hum as Ruby turns and returns the kiss.]

Like this birthday present better than the other, hm?

The new summon was nice, but this is more romantic.

[Weiss is starting to look a bit flushed...]

[Ruby is, too, moving closer to Weiss, a hand on her cheek.]

[Ruby does a double check before...]

...I'd love to. Looks like I get to be your birthday present.

[Weiss smirks as she puts her dress in sleep mode, leaving her in only her magic bolero jacket. She reaches into an inside pocket on it and pulls out a knife.]

No more charged shots, right? Or at least none without warning.
